Dear Sir,
This is with reference to ‘Dark Age: 60 crore hit as power snaps in 19 states’ (PM dt 1st Aug 2012). It was not just a grid collapse but a complete breakdown of governance. An outrageous outage of such proportion would have resulted in the axing of a host of officials, elsewhere. But in our ‘shining even amidst darkness India’ the minister is rewarded with a promotion to a more sensitive portfolio.Isn’t accountability part of his job profile or KRA? The darkness that half the nation plunged into, has ironically thrown light yet again on the appalling circus called UPA government. With a shameless and hopeless government that couldn’t care any less, in power, the man on the street as usual, is helpless.
